Harvard Investments gives back to the community – from the heart

Harvard Investments President Tim Brislin said it best: “Service to our community is a hallmark of Harvard’s culture.”

On a brisk Saturday morning in the Phoenix suburbs of Goodyear and Mesa, more than 40 employees of Harvard Investments and Estrella turned out to give back to the community.

Team Estrella participated in the inaugural West Valley Heart Walk, sponsored by the American Heart Association, in Goodyear. Team Estrella raised the most money for a corporate team, $14,000. Tim, who served on the Executive Leadership Team, raised the most money as a walker.

Team Harvard Investments helped paint a mural at the 38th annual Valley Partnership Community Project benefitting A New Leaf: East Valley Men’s Center, in Mesa. Team Harvard displayed deft brush strokes as it helped paint a mural of an eagle, which symbolizes the strength of the center.

Saturday Dec. 2, was a particularly chilly day in the Valley. What Team Estrella and Team Harvard Investments accomplished was heartwarming.
