The role of the Chief Financial Officer in real estate development goes beyond being an expert in financial knowledge. It also involves being an expert in a more diverse industry. Possessing the knowledge of capital markets, economics, types of construction, entitlement issues, and business law is the cornerstone of the CFO’s role in our industry.
Kathleen is Chief Financial Officer at Harvard Investments, joining the firm in July 2023. Her focus is to build upon Harvard Investments’ partnerships and relationships; debt and equity sourcing; strategic planning; business growth; and business expansion of the firm’s master-planned community and build-to-rent assets.
Prior to joining Harvard Investments, Kathleen was Vice President of Finance for Brookfield Properties where she was responsible for the Arizona Division. Her experience includes single family build-to-rent development and operations with TerraLane Communities. She also served as COO, Senior VP of Finance for DCT Industrial and master-planned community investment development with DMB Associates.
A native of East Moline, Illinois, Kathleen enjoys spending time with her husband and children, playing golf, practicing archery, and traveling.
