The results are in – two master planned communities in Metro Phoenix developed and owned by Harvard Investments are listed among the Top 10 in Arizona, based on public voting for the 2024 edition of Ranking Arizona, the state’s biggest and most comprehensive business opinion poll.
Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona, is ranked No. 5; Cadence at Gateway in Mesa, Arizona, is ranked No. 9. In the Active Adult Communities Top 10, CantaMia by Taylor Morrison, the 55+ community at Estrella, is ranked No. 5.
Home to more than 8,000 families, Estrella is part of a joint venture owned by Harvard Investments, Toll Brothers, and Värde Partners. The 20,000-acre mixed-use master-planned community is approximately 17 miles west of Phoenix. Estrella’s 500-plus acres of open space include more than 50 parks and 65 miles of paths and trails, plus 72 acres of lakes for kayaking, sailing, and catch-and-release fishing.

Cadence at Gateway is a 444-acre master-planned community in Mesa, within the desirable Gateway corridor in the Southeast Valley. Cadence is designed as a mixed-use community resplendent with amenities that go far beyond the norm. The center point for the community is The Square, featuring resort-style pools, a complete fitness center, community center, and a large event gathering space perfect for weddings and community gatherings.
Cadence features 13 parks, including a dog park, shaded ramadas, barbeques, and shaded play areas for kids. Residents enjoy tennis, basketball, bocce, sand volleyball, horseshoes, and large grassy areas perfect for soccer and other field sports. Cadence features miles of walking, biking, and strolling paths.
