Harvard Investments continues its strategic growth with three new hires, pair of promotions

Harvard Investments continues to strategically grow its team with high-quality and talented people with the hiring of three new professionals. Two promotions were also announced.

Roger Theis joins Harvard Communities as a Vice President of Development. Theis previously served as Vice President of Land for the Arizona division of Brookfield Residential.

Theis will work alongside two project leaders who were recently promoted.

Harvard Investments promoted Amy Weidman to Vice President of Development for Harvard Communities. She previously served as Director of Entitlements.

Jeff Zimmerman was promoted to Vice President of Development for Estrella Development Company, where he previously held the title of Director of Entitlements and Development.

Chief Financial Officer Kathleen Nidiffer announced the hiring of Marissa Worley as the new Director of Accounting and Steve Brunner as Financial Analyst.

“Building off of our successes in 2023, Harvard Investments starts 2024 with great momentum by growing the team with people who share our mission to build enduring communities where our residents can create lasting, positive memories,” said Harvard Investments President Tim Brislin.

“We also value developing and promoting our existing team who work tirelessly to improve their skills and be leaders in the industry. As Vice Presidents, Jeff and Amy will continue to have leadership responsibilities for our various large-scale communities, along with managing and mentoring fellow team members. Each has demonstrated high quality work, strong growth in professional skills, and excellent leadership of key Harvard projects,” Brislin added.

A native of Minnesota, Theis received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University.  He spent the first part of his career working in project management and leadership roles for civil engineering firms.  Theis was with Brookfield for 6 years working on various large-scale master plans.

Worley has an extensive background in finance, previously serving as CFO for Hanson Capital Group. She possesses experience in the residential field with stints at P.B. Bell and KB Home.  Worley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from New Mexico State University (NMSU). She also earned a MA in accounting from NMSU.

Brunner joins Harvard Investments from RBC Capital Markets where he specialized in sell-side equity research (REITs). A native of Brick, New Jersey, Brunner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Arizona State University and his MBA from Indiana University. Brunner served in the U.S. Navy.
